Le Trappiste to close
Le Trappiste will be closing it’s doors for the final time on Saturday 29th October.
The management will be re-branding the bar and moving into a new exciting market offering some fantastic new beers.
The new venture will be called ‘The Brew House’, the beers will still be high quality and specialist from, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, USA, Holland and of course, the UK!
The Brew House will still retain some of the Belgian classics, however we invite you to come and enjoy something different from our range of world beers, which are simply too good to ignore.
The new great range of beers will include, Brew Dog, Red Willow and Marble from the UK, De Molen from Holland, Struise, Viven and St. Feuillien from Belgium. The USA is represented by Odell, Flying Dog, Victory and Maui from Hawaii, we also have Gaffel, Jever, Maisel and Schneider from Germany amongst many others.
The Brew House will open on Thursday 3rd November with a tasting evening hosted by the ‘Brew Dog’ brewery, admission is by ticket only (limited to 32), the cost is £8.00 per person, includes tastings of the beers, Brew Dog presentation and nibbles.
Several ‘meet the brewer’ evenings are planned during November and a winter beer tasting evening is planned for Monday 5th December.
A new web site www.brewhousebar.com will be running soon, alongside the Le Trappiste website. The new email address is brewhousebar@hotmail.com.
Le Trappiste won’t be going without a party, they are ‘having a bit of a do’. Please come along on the 29th, a band playing will be playing upstairs and they’ll be some great deals on many fantastic beers.
If you want to come along with friends for one final night and say goodbye to the old place, please reserve your table and don’t forget to bring a camera.
