Royal Ale Festival (28th – 30th April)

Le Trappiste, Belgian Cafe Bar, Altrincham, are celebrating the Royal Wedding with a ’Royal Ale Festival’. The event will be held over 3 days starting at 6.00pm on Thursday 28th April and from 12.00 noon on both Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April. There will be 16 different cask ales on offer together with cider and perry. The provisional guest list includes beers from the following breweries; Burton Bridge, Bollington, Idle, Fox, Leadmill, Leatherbritches, Peakstones Rock, Black Hole & Bottlebrook.

Entrance is free and there will be various activities throughout the day such as free personalised beer bottles, courtesy of Duvel-Moortgat Brewery, as well as raffles and prizes and of course we will be showing the Royal Wedding! There will be music provided on Friday evening by The Cottonhouse Shakers and on Saturday evening by The DeFunked Band. Food will be available in the form of a belgian stew. If the weather is fine, customers will be able to take advantage of our brand new beer garden, which will be open on the day.

As you would expect from Le Trappiste there will be some specialist Belgian offerings too. we are hoping to offer 20 new Belgian beers never seen before at Le Trappiste, we will have the full range from the Viven Brewery, more from the Struise Brouwers, Troubadour, 3 Fonteinen and a brand new stout from Dupont. This will compliment our existing menu of over 170 quality Belgian Ales, giving a total of over 200 beers on offer.
