The annual Altrincham Festival is said by many to be the the main event in Trafford.  It takes place on the first Saturday in July so this year it is on 2nd.

The festival consists of a Grand Parade around the town as well as a fantastic family fun day which takes place on the showground in Timperley.  Other events also take place during the festival period including a Festival Quiz at the Railway Pub in Hale, Joy Nicholson Dance Show at the Garrick and a Kaleidoscope Swing Band at the Cresta Court.

The Altrincham Festival supports local groups, organisations, business and much more. It is ran by a non profit organisation, and the small, dedicated committee, work very hard for a full twelve months to put it on.
