The Britannia Altrincham Branch is urging groups, charities and schools to apply to its Community Fund and Charitable Foundation reports the local Messenger Newspaper.

According to the article Britannia awarded £500,000 during 2010, and are now accepting new applications for 2011.

It is again awarding grants and donations to support projects to promote improvements to education. With a particular focus on numeracy and financial capability.

The Britannia Community Fund offers a quick and simple application for donations up to £1,000, and the Britannia Foundation awards grants and donations between £1,000 and £25,000.
